Summer Hunting & Fishing Camps

There are specialty camps that offer campers the opportunity to fish and hunt and learn outdoor skills. Some are located in the southwest. The children can do fishing camps that specialize in saltwater fishing and river fishing. They will learn about spin casting, fly casting, light tackle techniques, fly tying, wade fishing, fly fishing, country river studies, float fishing and kayaking. In the saltwater fishing camps the campers will learn about bay and flats fishing, offshore fishing, fishing techniques, fish identification, water and boat safety. In these camps they offer kayak activities which include kayaking skills, kayak rigging, learning about fishing locations, about baits and lures and fishing in jettys. In the hunting camps the campers will learn about using shotguns, rifles, knives and the proper safety requirements needed in all situations. They will learn rifle care and first aid .They will use small and large bore rifles. They will learn about duck identification, decoy placement, dog training and duck blind construction. They will have studies in habitat, conservation and hunting techniques and learn about duck and goose calling, deer habitat and feeding, antler scoring, and field dressing deer.
